SARI SCHORR is the new female rising star of Blues Rock.
After only 3 gigs with her band The Engine Room, featuring ex Robert Plant guitarist INNES SIBUN, a video from Guitar En Scene Festival was put on Facebook. In 7 days it reached over 100,000 people, has already been watched by over 50,000 people, it has been shared by hundreds.
This is what reviewers are saying about the track Black Betty:
“One of the most recognisable tunes that should arguably never, ever be covered is Ram Jam’s Black Betty, yet this stripped back, pain-infused piece of musical magnificence takes on a whole new lease of life and comes out the other side reborn and rejuvenated in ways otherwise unimaginable.” Ross Muir Fabrications
“ … a striking and hair-raising slave chant inspired version of 'Black Betty.' Sari Schorr and Innes Sibun lead the southern tinged and highly charged take of the Lead Belly classic, here musically and vocally emoting to such a degree that you’d swear Schorr was channelling the ghosts and the pain of the slave and the whip.”
What critics are generally saying about Sari:
"Sari Schorr's 'A Force of Nature' is pure aural blues napalm. Sari sings the wings off angels and the horns off devils. The Engine Room rock." Alex at Guitar En Scene Festival France
Sari Schorr is a modern day hybrid between Janis Joplin and Tina Turner" Rootstime.be
"Sari Schorr is a force of nature, a meteor, a comet" Blues Matters
