Jetboy, which featured former Hanoi Rocks bassist Sam Yaffa, played a slightly bluesier version of the Hollywood hair metal that was so popular at the time. Their sound and image were equal parts Poison, Faster Pussycat, and perhaps Junkyard. Instead of trying the slick and polished power ballad route, Jetboy opted for something of a down and dirty barroom rock sound. You hear a bit of Hanoi Rocks here (of course), but it's a bit grittier and has more punch. "Feel the Shake" and "Make Some Noise" are both terrific singles. Feel the Shake is still a fun album that is worth picking up if you're still into the Hollywood hair metal sound.
