Stillwater was a southern rock band that was briefly active in both the late 1970s and the late 1990s. Not to be confused with the band of the same name from the 2000 film "Almost Famous", this Stillwater was real. So real, in fact, that the makers of said film had to ask the band members for permission to use the name (which lead to a small amount of renewed interest in the genuine article, leading to a reunion and new album in 1998, just before the film's release). 1977's "Stillwater" is their self-titled debut album, featuring the top 50 single "Mind Bender."
