This offering by Silent Monolith is characterized by the strong vocalist and this is emphasized most prominently in the beautiful acoustic version of Feel Like I'm Dying. The tempo of the band is very fast; the guitars/drums are very tight: the music often feels as if it hails from a heavy 70s band. So in that way this seems like a Classic Rock LP; but there is a slightly fuzzy psychedelic blues feel in this, too. Yet generally the guitar work is not fuzz-filled, it is very clean and vigorous.

Silent Monolith hails from Nashville Tennessee. They formed several years ago and finally released this debut album in January 2015. Another Way to Fly is a great first showing and this band promises to deliver special things in the future.
