The New Revolution from Sari's album 'Never Say Never'
Written by Sari Schorr & Bob Fridzema

❉ Lyrics By Sari Schorr
Choking on the words again
A bitter taste I can’t defend
A hard pill to swallow
We’re victims here of circumstance
Gotta take a fighting chance
I’ll lead if you follow
We’ve been orbiting the edges
Pushed out onto to narrow ledges
There’s nothing civil in disorder
It’s time we occupy this mess
Welcome to the new revolution
We’re in a state of mass confusion
This ain’t your granddaddy’s revolution
Justice for all is the solution
Seems like only yesterday
A bullet blew the dream away
Colored by hate
The country that we thought we knew
Beaten til its black and blue
Goodbye welfare state
Put the skin of every color
In the game with all our brothers
There’s nothing civil in disorder
But, it’s time we cleanup all this mess
Welcome to the new revolution
We’re in a state of mass confusion
This ain’t your granddaddy’s revolution
Justice for all is the solution
Welcome to the new revolution
I’ll fight my way through the confusion
This ain’t your granddaddy’s revolution
We’re the voice of a new generation
Good ole boys with narrow-minds
Build their walls on borderlines
Blockading our hope
Now we’re forced to recognize
Ignorance is on the rise
Let tolerance shelter the globe
[chorus]

❉Bio
Sari Schorr has a voice like no other; hyper powerful, husky and muscular, with an incredible texture and range. She delivers a sentence as a boxer would throw an uppercut to his opponent. Sari is one of the few singers that can be, and is, mentioned in the same breath as Joplin.
But Sari also has depth, life experience (like helping out in Haiti after the earthquake and humanitarian work in India). She has real stories to tell.
Schorr’s “overnight” success comes after years trudging the rugged road of life of the hard-working blues woman. She honed her craft playing relentlessly in the fierce South Bronx and on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Her talent would not be denied and it took her all the way to Carnegie Hall and tours around the world.
Sari gained prominence throughout the blues world touring with the legendary guitarist, Joe Louis Walker. She was recognized for her contribution to the blues in 2015 with an induction into the New York Blues Hall of Fame. In Memphis, that same year, a chance meeting with iconic record producer Mike Vernon (Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Peter Green) took Sari’s career to the next level. Within minutes of hearing Sari sing Mike offered to come out of retirement to produce her debut album, A Force of Nature. The album quickly established Sari as the new undisputed rising star of blues rock.
Sari broke new ground with her sophomore album, Never Say Never with a collection of songs heavy with reflections on Sari’s American home, delivered through her unmistakable, powerful and heartfelt vocals. The album received unanimous praise from the critics.
Schorr is a skilled writer. She speaks of her commitment to tackle difficult subjects in her songwriting often considered taboo, such as domestic abuse and heroin addiction, offering a different perspective. Sari’s poetic lyrics reveal are vibrant and gripping and highlight just how good she is at invoking passion, grit, and empathy.
Sari mixes a passion for music and with a duty of social responsibility. She has devoted her talent and energy to music projects of a grand scale for humanitarian causes. Most notable is her work on a “Toast to Freedom” for Amnesty International, where she collaborated with many musical legends including Warren Haynes, Levon Helm, Keb Mo', Eric Burdon and Carly Simon. Sari’s humanitarian efforts include work in Haiti and India. Sari is a marathon runner and animal rights activist.
Sari’s home is her suitcase and her path has always taken her on the road less traveled. Her life is a story of never giving up, being true to yourself and pursuing your passions against all odds. It’s a story that is incredibly inspirational and a reminder why we should never say never!
